Competition Rules

  1.  Stallions are allowed on the show field under the following rules
  2. The handler must be 16 years or older
  3. The handler must wear a yellow ribbon above the elbow
  4. The designated separate parking area is used
  5. The committee forbids misuse of whips
  6. Only the judge, stewards and competitors are allowed in the ring
  7. The judges decision is final and rudeness & discourtesy is forbidden
  8. Hats must be worn in all classes

Legal Liabilities
Neither the club or committee shall be held responsible for any accident, damage, loss or injury to any club members, general public or their property during club activities.

Health & Safety
Any members and or visitors to the site are responsible for their own safety and others safety. The club has set out below Health & Safety guidelines to follow when entering the showground.

  1. Gates must be properly closed after entering and exiting the showground to prevent loose horses getting onto the road.
  2. Horse Boxes and trailers must be parked in such a way not to cause obstruction to either parties and allow access to and from the showground for emergency vehicles, be parked with sufficient space between each vehicle to reduce the risk of fire spreading, carry a full and functional fire extinguisher – please note this is mandatory with horse boxes
  3. Bikes must not be ridden on the showground under any circumstances and must be parked as not to cause obstruction or potential hazard
  4. Prams must be attended at all times and are not allowed in any ring under any circumstances
  5. Horses and ponies to be exercised in the appropriate collecting rings only, not between vehicles or on pathways
  6. Horses and Ponies are not allowed to be lunged on the showground as this could endanger the safety of spectators, competitors and horses
  7. Only competitors are allowed in the rings, no prams dogs or their parties
  8. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times
